Thank you for visiting the Tennessee Sounds web site! It is a great honor for me to introduce myself as one of the guitar teachers here at the store. My name is Jonathan Lewis and I have been teaching music now for more than ten years. My music experience began as a 5^th grader playing trumpet in the elementary band. Yes, those were the days when the parents would come to your concert, endure some really bad music and then say, “Great job!” As a junior I began playing music with my mother’s guitar and I was immediately hooked. I went on to college where I received a minor in music and the education to become a music teacher. Since then I have been leading music for churches in Colorado, just down the rode in Erwin and in Chesapeake, Virginia. While at these churches I have had the opportunity to lead large choirs, develop small singing groups and to teach guitar to many students. My students have always seemed to enjoy their learning, and I work hard at making music fun and challenging.
